Network Engineer – Information & Communication Technology

To collaborate to design, build, and support all networks required for internal and external customer and other needs as defined by the business, including the creation/updating of all supporting documentation

Job Duties:

• Create, implement, and support standard processes and procedures to support Service Level Agreements to both internal and external partners and customers 

• Utilize necessary tools to identify and resolve complex issues in a timely manner

• Challenge, report and escalate as necessary to resolve any issues affecting the availability, security or integrity of the network infrastructure

• Actively research and investigate new tools/technologies to improve the efficiency of the team

• Functions of this position are to be performed in a company-designated office or field location

• Understand and comply with the company’s Acceptable Use Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years of progressive network engineering experience 

• Demonstratable CCNP/JNCIP/HCIP level or higher experience required

• Skilled at troubleshooting LANs (layer 2 networks), fault finding and isolation, understanding of technologies such as Spanning Tree, Port channels, Stacking etc

• Good experience with layer 3 routing

• Good experience with firewalls, polices, vpn’s, general concepts etc, understanding of advanced inspection and filtering techniques

• Experience working on projects, managing multiple simultaneously and delivering according to deadlines

• Skilled in automation and scripting would be highly desirable

• A strong desire to learn new technologies while continuing to progress their career

• Participation in an oncall rota would be required after successful probationary period
